"Three Stars of Courage - the nation's second-highest honour behind the rare Cross of Valour - were among 70 decorations approved by the Governor-General this year to recognise actions of bravery in peacetime. ...
The third, also remembered posthumously, is 23-year-old American Robert Cook, from Missouri.
On July 29, 2006 Melbourne woman Kimberley Dear was to have made her first skydive in America. But when engine failure caused the plane to plummet to the ground seconds after take-off, Mr Cook, her instructor, clipped his skydive harness to hers and demanded she use his body as a mattress. He was killed on impact."
There are quite a few articles in the Australian press about the recent award handed out to our own Robert Cook. You can read more of them with the following links.

We want to welcome all the Alpha Delta Zeta Alumni to our Alumni Work Day. We will be having this event on the 12th of January, 2008. If you have time, come down and help us work on some of the projects we have going on at the house. Thanks in advance for all of your support!
Some major steps have been taken this semester in the direction of polishing the overall look of the house in order to improve our living condition, help attract prospective new members, and give us a fighting chance in the ongoing battle against campus’s new facilities. During our Alumni Work Weekend at the end of our regular work week we made very noticeable improvements including but not limited to: the game area was retiled, walls were white washed, door frames were painted to stand out, bedroom doors were cleaned up, and light fixtures were replaced as needed. We are trying our best to improve what we have, but we can’t do it alone!
