$2,500 Scholarships

James E. and Donna C. Bertelsmeyer Endowed Scholarship Fund

          In 1998, James E. Bertelsmeyer, a Lambda Chi Alpha alumnus and Chemical Engineering graduate of University of Missouri-Rolla created a scholarship fund to be awarded to two incoming freshmen members of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity.  Each scholarship is worth $2,500 per academic year and is renewable up to four years.

Scholarship Determining Factors

1. Financial need
2. Academic performance
3. Demonstrated leadership skills
4. Member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity
5. Special consideration given to Chemical Engineers (not required)

Requirements for Scholarship Renewal

1. Maintain a GPA of 2.75 out of 4.00
2. Assume leadership roles on campus
3. Volunteer an average of at least 3 hours per week with the UMR Alumni Association
4. Continued affiliation of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity
